Alen Hakobyan joined Ajalat, Polley, Ayoob, Matarese & Broege as an associate in 2023. His practice includes Property Tax, Franchise Tax, Sales and Use Tax, City Business Tax, and Documentary Transfer Tax.

Alen received his undergraduate degree in economics from UCLA in 2010. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern Law School and LLM in tax from Loyola Law School in 2020 and 2021, respectively.

Before becoming an attorney, Alen was a certified public accountant providing assurance services at one of the Big 4 accounting firms. After graduating from law school, he was a senior tax consultant at Deloitte Tax LLP helping clients with their state income tax controversy matters, as well as consulting clients on issues related to sales and use tax implications of blockchain transactions.

Alen enjoys contributing his time to organizations advancing education and advocating for human rights. In his free time, he likes to read or spend time in nature. Alen resides in Sunland, CA with his wife, Roza.
